This class is perfect for those who are new to yoga. It will move slowly and provide detailed alignment instruction so new students can learn the fundamentals of a yoga practice & common poses. This class is a great place to "start". Do not hesitate to speak with the instructor if you have questions! Remember to simply breathe & enjoy! EVERYONE CAN DO YOGA!. The flow is best defined as an experienced when there is a positive match between a person's strength and the task they are doing, i.e. when they feel confident that they can accomplish the tasks they face. The flow, since it is enjoyed and positive, then creates possibility for what could be, the ability to discover, be open, and create new experiences with your own body, sensations, and what could be. From the flow, happiness arises.
This class is for people who have never experienced yoga before, and want to discover more about the basics of yoga postures, how yoga works, and how yoga can be used as a tool for overall wellness. This class will be especially great for those who have back pain, arthritis, or have anything that may need a special consideration. You will leave this class feeling refreshed, strengthened, and relaxed.
This type of yoga is derived from hatha yoga, but differs in several ways. Vinyasa yoga is faster paced, and the poses are linked together in a series of movements with the breath. Emphasis is placed on the breath and the transition in and out of these poses. The movement from one pose to another, gives you an added cardiovascular benefit, which more traditional forms of yoga do not have. The routine practice of vinyasa yoga can increase muscle strength, endurance and flexibility, and reduce levels of stress. The primary focus of this class is to increase both range of motion and flexibility
Pilates is a conditioning routine that helps increase flexibility, strength, and endurance. Emphasis is placed on proper spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.
This is an intermediate level class for those with previous Pilates experience. Its is a full body class which concentrates on proper postural alignment and breath while facilitating movements
A unique approach to receiving a private class. It is provided while you take any open class of your choice. With the verbal instruction and sequencing lead by the scheduled class teacher, the additional teacher will be giving complete and special attention to you in all of the asana's adjustments, receiving massage, quiet adjustment instruction, and a full relaxation experience. The teacher will never leave your mat, providing support and skillful adjustments, enhancing every pose. The student leaves with an in-depth understanding of new alignment improvements and a crucial metamorphosis of the physical and energetic bodies.
